Competence Web Development applies a structured approach in all projects. We can offer our internal customers from Air France and KLM two development streets: an agile development street for non-critical business applications and a standard development street for complex systems.

Agile Development
We apply SCRUM as agile methodology for development of non-critical business applications. With SCRUM we can satisfy the customer through early and continuous delivery of valuable software. We apply this method in KLM to iteratively, incrementallly develop systems and products when requiremenns are rapidly changing. Each Scrum-team consists of two JEE developers, one Front-end developer, a Scrum Master and a Product Owner from the business. A regular scrum project consists of two or three sprints of two or three weeks each. Since we introduced SCRUM for two years, we realized over 35 applications with great success (average customer satisfaction score of 8.5). Best practices are applied in our Application Maintenance process.

Standard Development
We apply RUP as standard
methodology for development of complex and critical business applications. With this method we can reduce risks and save time through incremental development of code. Teams often consist of more than four JEE developers, one or two front-end developers, a delivery lead with a project manager, project architect and information analysts. Throughput time of RUP projects usually is longer than 6 weeks.
